Freelancing marketplace Fiverr remembered Mir Mugdho in an emotional post

Even in the good times of his life, he joined the students who were on a movement for quota reform in government jobs and was distributing water bottles and biscuits among the fellow fighters. The popular online marketplace Fiverr published a condolence message on their verified Facebook page on the death of Mugdho on Wednesday around 6 pm.

The message reads as follows:

"It’s with heavy heart that we’ve learned of a loss in our Fiverr family. Mir Mahfuzur Rahman Mugdho passed away last week leaving his parents and two brothers behind.    Mir was a talented marketer who built a successful business on Fiverr through his expertise in SEO and social media. More than that, he was an avid traveler, a talented footballer, a Bangladesh Scout and a true humanitarian.

Mir will be missed. Prayers to his family and friends.”

A student of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) Mir Mahfuzur Rahman Mugdho was shot dead during the clashes in Azampur, Uttara of the capital on July 18. He was a student of 19th batch of Khulna University. He was well known in the campus as a player, singer, organizer. He was staying in Dhaka since last March after completing his graduation in mathematics. Along with online freelancing, he was doing MBA from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP).

In several videos circulating on social media, only 15 minutes before his death, Mugdho was distributing water bottles and biscuits among the protesting students on a road shrouded in tear-shell smoke. 

Head of Fiverr's Bangladesh Fiverr Community in Fiverr's Asia region Muhammad Zahidul Islam called this young man a 'Hero of the freelancer community'.
